Demas Fleming’s journey began in the vibrant city of Compton, CA, where he was born, and continued as he was raised in the diverse community of Long Beach. Currently residing in Lancaster, CA, Demas has forged a path defined by resilience, dedication, and community service. With a bustling household of five children, ranging from 18 to just 2 months old, Demas finds joy and fulfillment in the whirlwind of family life. Celebrating 8 years of marriage, Demas and his partner cherish the bonds of love and commitment that have guided them through life’s ups and downs. In pursuit of knowledge and personal growth, Demas earned an Associate’s Degree in Criminal Justice from Antelope Valley College and is currently enrolled at Arizona Global University, working towards a Bachelor’s Degree in the same field. His academic journey reflects his commitment to understanding and contributing to the field he is passionate about.
With 18 years of experience in the Security Industry, spanning private and healthcare sectors, Demas has honed his skills in ensuring safety and order. As a Security and Emergency Management Specialist, he plays a vital role in safeguarding the educational environment for countless young minds.
Beyond his professional responsibilities, Demas finds deep fulfillment in his volunteer work, particularly in youth basketball coaching. For the past 5 years, he has dedicated his time and energy to coaching aspiring athletes in the City of Lancaster, imparting not only basketball skills but also essential life lessons of dedication and perseverance.
Driven by a desire to give back to the community and provide positive guidance to young athletes, Demas founded a nonprofit organization focused on nurturing basketball talent while instilling values of resilience and commitment. His vision includes inclusivity for children with disabilities, viewing basketball as a means of therapy and empowerment.
At his core, Demas values respect, integrity, accountability, diligence, and perseverance. Family is paramount, serving as a constant source of inspiration and support throughout his journey.
In his leisure time, Demas enjoys coaching basketball, mastering the art of barbecue on his Traeger grill, indulging in the melodic tunes of oldies, and embarking on enriching family vacations. With a background in high school basketball and football, as well as a stint in the high-school band, Demas embodies a multifaceted persona enriched by varied experiences and interests.
